Please check the quality setting of the recording.  Some programs (SageTV for example) set a default picture quality for analog TV to “Fair”, which means 0.9 GB/hour.  To get a top end picture you will have to up the bit rate to roughly 3.0GB/hour.

 

The latest drivers and firmware solve this problem completely.
